Spark brain power

If you want to fend off the aging of your brain, take a look at what you’re eating. There are certain food and spices that spark the speed of your brain.

I gave some specific recommendations for supplements and food sources in this month’s edition of my newsletter that I think are great to have in your repertoire for staving off the onset of Alzheimer’s. You can add some spices to that mix: Basil, black pepper, mint, sage, and turmeric. You’d be surprised at the dramatic effects on mood and brain function that have been uncovered when a close look was taken at some of these herbs!

Herbs have a long, rich history of providing medicinal benefits to people. The only reason they aren’t pushed more is because Big Pharma can’t patent a plant. But think of what they d They use extracts from the botanical kingdom, add some very nasty ingredients to them so they can say they created something new that can be patented, and then sell it for a huge profit!

How often do you think they’re really improving on nature?

I’ve always been a stick-to-the-basics sort of person. Look at new models of cars—you have all the buttons and doodads you could ever want. And inevitably, guess what some of the first things are to break down in those vehicles? You guessed it: All those buttons and doodads. And fixing them usually costs you a pretty penny.

Same could be said for the pharmaceutical industry. They add all kinds of chemicals and ingredients to a botanical remedy, which lead to strong side effects. In this case we pay not just with our wallets—but also our health.

Stick to the basics when it comes to your health. Your ride will be a lot smoother.
